Question: What is the price for renting Mosaic Space?

Answer:

Cost varies from event to event, and we have customized packages for different occasions. Packages for wedding receptions range from $2,500-10,000, and each package mixes and matches various catering, DJing, and beverage service options. Request a quote through our online form or call us at 616.719.2923.

Our complete All Inclusive wedding reception package provides everything you would need for the event of a lifetime:

  • full-service plated dinner or buffet from our master chef
  • dinnerware and linen napkins for up to 200 guests
  • two licensed bartenders
  • our house DJ
  • a dedicated audio-visual professional
  • usage of the space from noon-midnight (extendable at $200/hour)
  • cleaning service during and after your event
  • cake-cutting services
  • assistance setting up
  • building security personnel
  • a butler for door service all night long
  • usage of all lounge furniture
  • usage of our concert-grade speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers
  • up to 25 round banquet tables and 200 chairs
  • up to 4 round bar tables and 20 matching bar stools
  • up to 6 bar stools at the fixed kitchen/bar
  • table linens black or white
  • gift tables and head tables

Question: I’d like to visit—how do I set that up?

Answer:

We offer guided tours and consultations by appointment, and we also except walk-ins from 10am-4pm monday thru Friday. Please call 616.719.2923 to make an appointment or contact us online.

Question: Where can my guests park?

Answer:

The brand new 38 Commerce parking ramp is located just steps away from Mosaic Space. For free street-side parking, try LaGrave Ave SE in front of the LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church. Also, any metered spots in the Downtown Grand Rapids area are free after 5pm on weekdays.

Question: May I arrange for my own caterer?

Answer:

Mosaic Space provides our own top-of-the-line preferred catering service. We do have different packages that you may use your own services.

Question: Where can I see the menu for your preferred catering?

Answer:

Please call us at 616.719.2923 to request a menu or submit a request through our online form. One of our representatives will gladly provide you with our latest menu options.

Question: May I hire my own DJ?

Answer:

We recommend our house DJ, whose services are included in many of our packages. However, if clients choose to bring their own DJ, Mosaic Space does allow this request.

Question: What kind of events do you host?

Answer:

Question: How can I reserve my date?

Answer:

To book your date at Mosaic Space, please come in to sign an agreement, pay a 50% deposit on the total fee, and leave a non-refundable equipment and damage deposit. Provide credit information for if the facility has been damaged after your event. If the facility has been damaged, the cost of repairs will be deducted from the credit card.

Question: What are my payment options?

Answer:

We accept money orders, cheques, cash, and credit cards (Mastercard, VISA, and Discover). All cheques must be written out to Mosaic Communication.

Question: What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Answer:

  • Cancellation 180+ days before the event date: 80% of the deposit refunded
  • Cancellation 90-179 days before the event date: 50% of the deposit refunded
  • Cancellation 30-89 days before the event date: 25% of the deposit refunded
  • Cancellation 1-29 days before the event date: 0% of the deposit refunded

In all of the above scenarios, your damage deposit will not be refunded, although the above cancellation refunds are off the room rental.

Question: Can I serve alcohol at my event?

Answer:

Any alcohol must be served by our house bartenders for liability reasons. For any event involving alcoholic beverages, alcohol is served up until an hour before the event ends.

Question: Can my guests smoke?

Answer:

Mosaic Space is a smoke-free facilities, and we do have designated smoking areas outside.

Question: Is Mosaic Space handicap-accessible?

Answer:

Yes, we have double-wide doors, an elevator, and handicap-accessible men’s and women’s bathrooms.

Question: What are tipping expectations?

Answer:

Gratuities of 15%-18% are welcomed at the end of the event for staff services, Also our bartenders can be tipped thru the night.

Question: I lost or left something behind at the event—what can I do?

Answer:

Although Mosaic Space is not responsible for anything lost, stolen, or left behind, please give us a call at 616.719.2923 and describe your item.
